Beeston Hockey Club Junior Training
Sundays: For U8 / U10 / U12 Boys and Girls 10.00-12.00pm. Sunday sessions are £5 per session.
Mondays: For U14 Boys and Girls 6.30-8:30pm. Monday sessions are £5 per session.
Fridays: For U16 / U18 Boys and Girls 6:30pm-8pm. Friday sessions are £5 per session.
There is an annual registration fee of £30 for juniors who do not pay annual subscriptions to the main club.
FOR NEW PLAYERS THE FIRST SESSION IS FREE

Free School Pitch Hire
Nottingham Hockey Centre offer 6 x 2 hours taster sessions to local state schools. This is open for Children 6 years upwards. The pitch hire is FREE. If the school is unable to provide their own coach and/or equipment, Nottingham Hockey Centre can provide a coach and all the equipment needed for £30 per session. Dunkirk Primary School were the first school to trial this initiative. The school have FREE access to the brand new sand-dressed pitch at Nottingham Hockey Centre, as well as use of hockey sticks, balls, bibs and other equipment provided by the Hockey Centre. The pupils were coached by a number of the Clubs Level 2 Coaches including Great Britain Internationals, David Ames, and Ollie Willars.
We use two specialised hockey coaching companies to deliver hockey coaching courses during school holidays.

We run outdoor holiday clubs, depending on the time of the year and the sports on offer. Our holiday clubs can be booked as single days, or for the week.

Nottingham Players Hockey Club Junior Training
Tuesdays: For Boys and Girls aged 6-16 yrs 6.00pm-7.00pm on the Waterbase Pitch. Games are played on Sundays and membership for the season is £65 (£50 for additional children from the same family). This includes all training sessions and matches and also both a Christmas and End of Season Party!! The Season runs from September to May.

Nottingham Players Hockey Club FREE Training Sessions
All training sessions with Nottingham Players Hockey Club are FREE and are open to both Club members and the wider community. Training sessions are on Tuesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm during the hockey season which runs from September to May.
The Club are always looking to introduce new members and encourage new people in to the sport. The Club also run ad-hoc mixed events (Men and Women) which are again FREE to newcomers.

School Coaching - Beeston HC & Nott'm Players HC
Nottingham Players Hockey Club have links with both Beeston Rylands Primary School and Bluecoat Academy. This involves running taster sessions during the school day followed by a number after school coaching sessions at the School. All this activity is FREE. If the children wish to carry on hockey further they are invited to Nottingham Hockey Centre to join the Club.
Beeston Hockey Club have links with Roundhill Primary School in Beeston. This involves some of the Clubs coaches setting up Quicksticks sessions on the schools sports activity days. Pupils are then invited to the Sunday morning junior coaching sessions. Quicksticks is a 4 a side game, designed especially for 7-11 year olds. It can be played on any surface, and uses a larger, lighter and safer ball.
The Hockey Centre provide coaches for Southwark Primary School in Old Basford. Hockey is introduced to 2 classes of year 6 pupils at the beginning of their hockey term to introduce basic skills and techniques.
The Hockey in the Community Schools League is open for local schools to enter and takes place on Thursday's after school at Nottingham Hockey Centre. There are leagues for years 7 and 8 & years 9 and 10. For more information please contact Kay Bond on firstname.lastname@example.org

The University of Nottingham
Following the hockey trials at The University of Nottingham, with Sportivate funding, we deliver a coaching programme aimed at players not selected for a team at the University. This involves a series of stuctured coaching sessions delivered on campus and at Nottingham Hockey Centre by our Club coaching staff. At the culmination of the programme a tournament is held for the players. The main objectives of this initiative is to retain participation in the sport and encourage players to join local Clubs.
